Inseego Completes Acquisition of Nokia's Fixed Wireless Access Business

Inseego Corp. announced the completion of its acquisition of Nokia’s Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) business, a transaction initially announced on April 30, 2026. This strategic move is projected to approximately double Inseego's revenue and solidify its position as a global leader in wireless broadband.

The acquisition significantly enhances Inseego's FWA portfolio by integrating indoor, outdoor, and millimeter-wave solutions, broadening its reach to both consumer and enterprise connectivity markets. The deal also extends Inseego's operational presence to carriers across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas, while substantially augmenting its engineering capabilities.

Approximately 250 employees associated with Nokia's former FWA business will join Inseego, contributing to expanded operations in engineering, product management, supply chain, and customer support. To accommodate its growth, Inseego has established international headquarters in Amsterdam and a development center in Athens, alongside expanding its presence in Bangalore and adding customer-facing resources in new markets.

Inseego CEO Juho Sarvikas stated that the acquisition marks a new chapter for the company as a global wireless broadband leader, equipped with the necessary scale, technology, and global reach to serve carriers across diverse use cases.

As part of the transaction, Nokia invested $10 million in Inseego, receiving an equity stake. The companies will also continue their collaboration on technological advancements, focusing on areas such as AI-RAN, 5G connectivity, and network optimization.
