Insta360 Releases Luna Ultra Camera 3D Models
Insta360 has made the complete 3D models for its Luna Ultra gimbal camera publicly available for free download via Bambulab's MakerWorld platform. This marks a first for the imaging industry, allowing creators to design and print custom accessories.

Insta360, a technology company, has become the first in the imaging industry to officially release complete 3D models of one of its products. The company has partnered with 3D printer manufacturer Bambulab to offer creators free access to the Luna Ultra gimbal camera's 3D models on Bambulab's community platform, MakerWorld.
The initiative encourages users to design and 3D print their own custom accessories for the Insta360 Luna Ultra camera. By downloading the files, users can print the entire camera or individual components, such as the remote control screen or the gimbal itself.
To foster creativity, Insta360 and Bambulab have launched a design challenge. Participants are invited to submit original 3D model designs for the camera, with the winning "golden idea" receiving cash or equipment support for potential mass production. The challenge includes additional awards for best creativity and practicality, featuring prizes like Insta360 Luna Ultra kits and Bambulab 3D printers.
Early adopters have already showcased unique creations. One notable example is a self-designed "tilting exoskeleton" accessory that enables the camera to shoot vertically in lossless 8K resolution. This move highlights Insta360's commitment to community-driven innovation and the integration of 3D printing technology within the consumer electronics space.
