InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy complete merger to form India's largest insurance distribution platform
Indian insurance distribution platforms InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have merged, creating a combined entity to operate under the InsuranceDekho brand. The new company aims to become India's largest AI-enabled insurance distribution platform.

Gurugram-based insurance distribution platforms InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have completed their merger, with the combined entity set to operate under the InsuranceDekho brand. The merged company claims to be India’s largest AI-enabled insurance distribution platform based on premiums generated through Point of Sale Persons (POSPs) in FY26, reporting a premium book exceeding ₹6,600 crore (approximately $790 million USD) as of March 31, 2026.
The merger brings together InsuranceDekho's presence in northern and western India with RenewBuy's network in southern India, aiming to create a comprehensive pan-India distribution platform. The combined entity offers over 750 insurance products from 52 insurers across various categories including motor, health, life, and travel. Together, the platforms have facilitated the issuance of over 2 crore (20 million) insurance policies since their inception.
Ankit Agrawal, founder and CEO of InsuranceDekho, will lead the merged company. The founders of RenewBuy will also continue with the organization, ensuring continuity in leadership and execution. The integration process will focus on combining the companies' technology stacks, distribution capabilities, and insurer relationships without disrupting the user experience for partners and customers.
The combined business boasts over 6 lakh (600,000) digital partners and coverage across 98.57% of India’s pin codes. The company positions itself to compete with established players like Policybazaar, Turtlemint, and Acko by leveraging complementary strengths and a shared belief in empowering digital insurance partners as the backbone of financial protection for Indian families.
