Insuretech Outmarket raises $34.5M in new funding round
Insuretech startup Outmarket has secured $34.5 million in a recent funding round. The capital will be used to expand the company's AI-powered solutions for insurance agencies and brokers.

Outmarket, a startup focused on streamlining the insurance industry through technology, announced it has raised $34.5 million in a new funding round. This latest investment follows closely on the heels of a previous round, underscoring investor confidence in the company's growth trajectory and AI-driven platform.
The company develops artificial intelligence solutions designed to automate the complex and time-consuming administrative tasks prevalent in the insurance sector. Outmarket specifically targets commercial insurance, where intricate policy details and custom tailoring are essential for each business. By leveraging AI, insurance brokers can accelerate the evaluation process and provide more tailored policy recommendations.
Founder Vishal Sankhala, who previously held product leadership roles at companies like Ethos, highlighted the significant portion of insurance transactions still relying on human agents. "This represents a massive opportunity given the size of this industry," Sankhala stated, emphasizing the potential for automating manual processes.
Outmarket has already onboarded over 300 insurance agencies as clients, including a substantial percentage of the top 100 agencies in the market. The company notes rapid adoption of its new product, launched 14 months ago, which represents fast growth for the typically slower-moving insurance sector.
The newly acquired funds will support Outmarket's expansion efforts, focusing on enhancing its AI capabilities and broadening the reach of its services. The aim is to empower insurance brokers to dedicate more time to client-facing activities and emergency response, while the technology handles the underlying administrative workload.
