Intel to Remain Among TSMC's Top Ten Customers
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger confirmed the company will maintain its position as one of TSMC's top ten customers. He emphasized the importance of partnerships in the semiconductor industry.
Intel intends to remain among the ten largest customers of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), according to a recent interview with CEO Pat Gelsinger reported by Business Weekly.
Gelsinger stated that U.S. capabilities in chip design and manufacturing are important, and Intel is pushing for progress with increasingly complex and advanced process nodes. He highlighted that Intel and TSMC are close partners.
The CEO mentioned that he does not view others as competitors, stressing the collaborative nature of the business. "Business is not a zero-sum game, and no one can do everything alone," Gelsinger said, emphasizing the need to find and value partners.
He also expressed significant admiration for TSMC founder Morris Chang (Zhang Zhongmou), acknowledging his substantial contributions to the semiconductor industry. Intel has historically been a key customer for TSMC, and this relationship is expected to continue.
