Intel weighs discontinuation of Arc B580 desktop graphics card

Reports suggest Intel may phase out the Arc B580 consumer GPU to prioritize higher-margin enterprise AI hardware.

3 November 2026

Intel is reportedly evaluating the future of its Arc B580 graphics card as the company shifts strategic focus toward more profitable segments. Industry reports indicate that Intel may discontinue the consumer-grade desktop GPU to reallocate BMG-G21 silicon resources toward enterprise-focused alternatives.

The Arc B580, which launched with a $249 price point, currently faces inventory shortages across several retail channels. Analysts suggest that production capacity could be diverted to the Arc Pro B50 and B60 series, which are designed for professional workstations and offer higher profit margins than the competitive gaming market.

Intel has not released an official statement regarding the status of the Battlemage line. Should the company proceed with this shift, it would mark a significant pivot in Intel’s graphics division, prioritizing business-to-business AI applications over individual consumer hardware.
