The timing of peak colors varies significantly based on elevation and latitude. For instance, higher elevations in states like Wyoming and Colorado may see peak colors as early as September, while southern states such as Texas and Louisiana reach their color peak in November or December. In the New England region, including Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, the peak season typically occurs in early October.
