Interlune has introduced a new commercial service that simulates the effects of lunar dust and environmental conditions on hardware. This process can replicate 15,000 years of exposure in just four hours, enabling the testing of moon-bound equipment, such as landers and rovers, on Earth prior to launch.

The method involves implanting helium into simulated lunar regolith. The use of helium mimics the harsh environment found on the Moon's surface, including dust behavior and material abrasion. This new capability significantly enhances the development process for space hardware and reduces risks during the actual lunar mission.
