International exchange on women and children's health concludes in Boao
Over 170 health representatives from Asia and Africa met in Hainan to discuss digital health solutions and South-South cooperation strategies.

The 2026 International Exchange on Women and Children's Health took place in Boao, Hainan, from October 23 to 26. The event brought together more than 170 delegates from government health agencies, international organizations, and the healthcare sector to address regional health challenges.
The discussions focused on the integration of digital intelligence in healthcare and the promotion of UN sustainable development goals. Participants emphasized the necessity of deepening South-South cooperation, particularly through knowledge exchange between China, ASEAN countries, and African nations.
Officials from China’s National Center for Women and Children's Health suggested that the country's existing practices in early childhood care and maternal health could serve as a model for global partners. The conference served as a platform to coordinate future training initiatives and collaborative health projects.
In addition to technical dialogues, the event featured an exhibition of medical technologies and products aimed at enhancing care for mothers and children. The organizers indicated that the initiative is part of a broader commitment to integrating resources for improved maternal and child health outcomes.
