Interplanetary Help Desk and KUTX Launch Austin Concert Series for 24 Local Nonprofits

Interplanetary Help Desk and KUTX have partnered to launch "Let's Fund Good," a citywide series of 12 fundraiser concerts aimed at supporting 24 local nonprofits in the Austin area. The series, running from July 24 to August 30, will feature six live concerts and six album parties, introducing a new fundraising model designed to make supporting local causes more accessible and enjoyable while also bolstering Austin's music scene.

Each event in the "Let's Fund Good" series is priced at $10, with 100% of ticket sales directed to a chosen participating nonprofit. Attendees select their beneficiary at checkout, allowing direct support for specific causes. The initiative also aims to invest in the local music community, ensuring all performing artists are compensated and independent venues attract new audiences.

Concerts will take place at various independent Austin venues, including 29th Street Ballroom, Mohawk, and Hotel Vegas. The live music lineup includes local artists, while album parties will feature full plays of albums from artists such as Ariana Grande, The Beatles, and Kendrick Lamar.

"Fundraisers are supposed to raise money, but too often, the cost of putting them on eats into the amount that actually reaches the causes," said Andy Sernovitz, CEO of Interplanetary Help Desk. "We built 'Let's Fund Good' differently. Our goal is to create an incredible summer of shows where people can afford to come out, discover organizations making a difference in our community, and know that every penny gets to the nonprofits."

The 24 participating nonprofits represent a diverse range of community services, including Austin Pets Alive!, Central Texas Food Bank, and The SAFE Alliance. KUTX, an Austin-based music radio station, is supporting the series through its promotion and involvement.
