Intuitive has concluded its investigation into a cybersecurity incident first disclosed in March 2026. The incident resulted in unauthorized access to a subset of internal company data.

Intuitive announced in June 2026 the completion of its thorough investigation and independent review of a cybersecurity incident originally disclosed in March 2026. The investigation confirmed that unauthorized access occurred to certain information within a subset of the company's internal IT business applications. No other business applications were accessed.
The accessed information included limited employee, customer, and corporate data. To date, the company reports no instances of fraud or identity theft arising from the incident, nor any indication that the accessed data has been misused. Following the investigation's findings, Intuitive stated no additional disclosures were deemed necessary.
In response to the incident, Intuitive has implemented enhanced security protocols across its internal IT business network and applications. These measures include steps to confirm the security of its internal IT business network environment, strengthen security practices, and improve policies and procedures aimed at reducing the risk of future incidents.
The company reiterated that its da Vinci and Ion systems, along with its digital products and manufacturing operations, were not impacted by this event. Intuitive confirmed that its ability to serve customers remains unaffected, and hospital customer networks are separate and secured by the customers' own IT teams.
