Intuitive, a company focused on robotic surgery, has introduced new digital solutions designed to enhance the ability of surgeons and hospitals to monitor and analyze procedures performed with robotic assistance.

The new tools, built on integrated intelligence, allow surgeons to more closely track the progress of trainees in robotic surgery. Ankit Patel, an assistant professor of surgery at Emory School of Medicine, describes Intuitive's My Intuitive app as a significant advancement. The application provides real-time, objective data on aspects such as the operating time and tasks focused on by surgical residents. Future updates aim to include video review and movement analysis capabilities.

"For the first time, we have a digital tool to help with evaluating residents and fellows," stated Dr. Patel. "We have real-time access to their surgeries. It's objective data rather than subjective. Now we can actually individualize robotic training in a meaningful way."

The My Intuitive app also offers surgeons the ability to monitor their own cases and caseloads, providing data insights to potentially improve proficiency. Through these advancements, Intuitive is leveraging integrated intelligence to provide actionable data aimed at improving robotic surgical performance for both clinicians and healthcare institutions.
