Intuitive President Dave Rosa has highlighted that the company's long-term success and durability are built upon a strong corporate culture and clear values. Rosa, who started at the company as a mechanical engineer over two decades ago, has witnessed Intuitive grow into a leader in robotic-assisted surgical systems.

Appointed president in May 2023, Rosa has been with Intuitive for nearly its entire 28-year history. He began as a mechanical engineer working on the first da Vinci surgical system, eventually moving into leadership roles in engineering, regulatory affairs, and sales and marketing, most recently leading global strategy and growth.

"Building great products and a durable company require outstanding corporate values. You must live them and use them to inform the decisions you make," Rosa stated in a recent discussion. He notably emphasizes principles such as selfless leadership, staying grounded in reality, and engaging with humility. These values, he explained, have been crucial in navigating business growth, team building, and adapting to unexpected challenges.

Rosa stresses that facing reality, even when difficult, has enabled sustained progress toward the company's goals over time. "Ideas can come from anywhere. Our doors and minds are open," he said, advocating for an open approach and personal responsibility for improvement.
