Intuitive Surgical, Inc. has successfully renewed its ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system certification. This certification covers multiple sites across the United States, Switzerland, and Mexico.
Intuitive Surgical, Inc., a manufacturer of robotic-assisted surgical systems, has renewed its certification for an environmental management system conforming to the ISO 14001:2015 standard. The renewed certification, issued by DNV on July 23, 2025, is valid through July 23, 2028.
The scope of the certification encompasses the design, manufacture, service, and management of installation for computer-controlled surgical systems and instruments. This includes endoscopes, surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and accessories, as well as the design and manufacture of staples and stapling systems.
Multiple Intuitive Surgical facilities have been included in the certification. Key locations cover operations in Sunnyvale, California, and Peachtree Corners, Georgia, within the United States. The certification also extends to operations in Aubonne, Switzerland, and Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, covering a range of functions including customer service, quality assurance, R&D, manufacturing, and procurement.
