PITTSBURGH, Aug. 11, 2026 – An inventor from Hayward, Calif., has developed a new protector for dog cones, named the "DOG CONE FACE PROTECTOR." The invention aims to enhance the protection of a dog's face and eyes while the cone is in use, particularly during recovery from injury or surgery.

The design emphasizes comfort and ample space to minimize restriction for the dog. The objective is to prevent further scratching or damage to the head and facial area while the cone collar is being worn.

According to information released by InventHelp, the developed prototype is intended to attach easily to common dog cone models. The inventor noted the protector is not bulky and is designed as an integrated part of the cone.
