Investigation into GTA 6 Leak Traces Activity to Discord

An external media investigation into the Grand Theft Auto VI leaker, identified as Cyberleek, has revealed that video clips of the game circulated on a private Discord server before their public dissemination. The inquiry suggests that content was being shared among users before it reached wider audiences.

According to reports, a user named stayonthegrindd shared footage on an unofficial GTA 6 Discord server. This occurred before Cyberleek publicly released initial leaks, including gameplay of a character playing basketball. The user stayonthegrindd claimed the material originated from a 2026 version of the game.

Stayonthegrindd also indicated that further gameplay footage, specifically related to driving, would be released and offered to share the game's map. One player reported seeing a brief, approximately 5-second clip via direct message showing the character Jason driving a dark car out of his driveway.

The identity of stayonthegrindd remains unconfirmed and has not been definitively linked to Cyberleek. The Discord account was created in 2025 and has minimal identifying information. Observers suggest stayonthegrindd may have been an intermediary rather than the primary source of the leak.

This discovery could be significant for Take-Two Interactive, the game's publisher, which has previously issued subpoenas to Discord for server logs related to leaks. Evidence of private circulation on Discord might aid the company in tracing the origins and dissemination chain of the leaked GTA 6 material.
