German growth investor DTCP has raised €455 million in the first close of its new defence fund. The fund has a target of €500 million.
The fund, launched in January, has already made two investments in technology companies. These investments are focused on firms developing solutions for cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, primarily within the defence sector.
DTCP Founder and CEO Avner Stage stated that the fund was established in response to growing demand for investments in defence technology. "We have seen significant growth and interest in companies within the defence industry and its ecosystem, and we are excited to support the next generation in this field," Stage said.
The fund's investment strategy centers on companies offering solutions in cybersecurity, AI, data analytics, autonomous systems, and other critical defence technologies. DTCP intends to continue fundraising for the fund and make further investments.
DTCP has previously invested in Israeli companies such as Cymmetria and Guardio, which provide cybersecurity solutions. The firm has also made investments in other parts of Europe and the United States.
