Investors file class action lawsuit against The Chemours Company

The Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz has filed a class action lawsuit against The Chemours Company in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The complaint alleges that between February 20 and August 4, 2026, the chemical manufacturer provided misleading financial information and failed to disclose material adverse facts regarding its aftermarket demand.

The litigation follows an August 2026 announcement in which the company lowered its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance. Management admitted that significant inventory buildup in the aftermarket sector had occurred due to previous over-allocation, resulting in an 18.63% single-day drop in the company's stock price. The lawsuit argues that the company materially overstated demand for its Opteon products during the class period.

According to the legal filing, the defendants failed to provide a reasonable basis for their financial outlook, causing shareholders to purchase stock at inflated prices. Attorney Frank R. Cruz stated that the failure to disclose the extent of the inventory issues remains a central point of the complaint.

Investors who suffered losses during the specified period have until December 7, 2026, to file a motion with the court to serve as the lead plaintiff.
