Invisible Fence® Brand is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Project Breathe™ program by donating pet oxygen mask kits to first responders across the U.S. and Canada.
Knoxville, TN – Invisible Fence® Brand is marking the 20th anniversary of its Project Breathe™ initiative by donating specialized pet oxygen mask kits to fire departments and first responder organizations nationwide. The donations are timed to coincide with National Fire Prevention Month in October.
Established in 2006, Project Breathe™ aims to provide critical equipment for pets suffering from smoke inhalation during emergencies. Since its inception, the program has donated over 27,000 masks. Statistics indicate that approximately 40,000 pets die annually in U.S. house fires, with smoke inhalation being a primary cause.
The company highlights that pets often hide in enclosed spaces during fires, increasing their exposure to toxic gases. Project Breathe™ was created to bridge the gap in emergency response by equipping first responders with tools specifically designed to administer oxygen to animals.
The refreshed kits include reusable masks in various sizes suitable for different animals, along with tubing and instructions. Invisible Fence® Brand is working with its local dealers to coordinate donation events and share safety information with pet owners.
