Ipsos acquires Brazil's Ipec, strengthening Public Affairs business
Market research firm Ipsos has acquired Ipec, a key player in public opinion and political research in Brazil. The acquisition aims to bolster Ipsos's Public Affairs division and its presence in the Brazilian market.

Paris – Market research company Ipsos announced its acquisition of Ipec (Ipec Inteligência em Pesquisa e Consultoria Estratégica), a significant entity in Brazil's public and political opinion research sector. This move is set to enhance Ipsos's Public Affairs business and solidify its standing in the Brazilian market.
Ipec, established in 2021 by former executives from IBOPE Inteligência, is recognized for its expertise in opinion polling and political analysis. The firm conducts qualitative and quantitative studies, both online and offline, and also offers consumer research in areas such as branding, communication, and product development.
Ben Page, CEO of Ipsos, stated that the addition of Ipec's teams expands the company's Public Affairs offerings in Latin America. "This acquisition addresses the growing demand for high-quality public opinion polling in Brazil, building on our 30 years of experience in the country," Page commented.
The company plans to leverage Ipec's capabilities, particularly in handling complex projects that require accurately reflecting the diverse perspectives of Brazil's large population. This strategic acquisition is intended to provide clients with enhanced insights into evolving social dynamics and consumer trends.
