Ipsos Releases New Research on Consumer and Societal Trends

Market research firm Ipsos has released several new reports and surveys offering insights into the state of consumers and society in France. Among the latest publications is a study on food insecurity, highlighting increasing challenges for low-income workers.

A key finding addresses poverty and the significance of food provision. The survey reveals that 54% of working individuals living in poverty report insufficient food. This situation is intensified by rising living costs, making food expenses the primary area for budget adjustments. The report, compiled with BVA and ANDÈS, details worsening food precarity and parental sacrifices.

Ipsos also issued a political barometer in collaboration with BVA and CESI Engineering School. Additionally, the firm explored French perspectives on leisure, particularly the significance of paid leave, which marks its 90th anniversary. The survey indicated that 61% of French citizens consider it an essential need. Sports analyses show that half of the French population intends to follow the 2026 Football World Cup.

The company has also reported on the importance of housing. Research suggests that the home is perceived as a refuge amidst an anxious daily life. These publications collectively offer a comprehensive view of French living conditions, values, and sentiment across various societal domains.
