iQOO 16 Camera Samples Released Ahead of Launch

Smartphone manufacturer iQOO will launch its new iQOO 16 model on September 29. Ahead of the release, the company has shared sample photos taken with the device's new super periscope telephoto lens. The camera system enables 3x optical zoom and 6x lossless zoom capabilities.
The iQOO 16's main camera is reportedly a 50-megapixel sensor with a 1/1.3-inch size, a significant improvement over the previous iQOO 15 model, increasing light intake by 79 percent. Alongside the telephoto lens, the phone includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. Both cameras feature professional-grade image stabilization (CIPA 5.5).
Image processing on the device utilizes technologies similar to vivo's flagship line, including the NICE 3.0 optical reconstruction engine and the Magic 3.0 image quality restoration engine. These are stated to reduce noise while enhancing detail in images.
The iQOO 16 is scheduled to go on sale on the same day as its announcement. The company previously confirmed that the phone will be among the first devices to be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
