iQOO 16 Camera Samples Revealed: 50MP Sensor Boosts Light Capture
iQOO has released initial sample images from its upcoming iQOO 16 smartphone, highlighting a new 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. The company claims this upgrade increases light intake by 79% compared to the iQOO 15.
Chinese tech outlet IT Home has reported on the upcoming iQOO 16 smartphone, focusing on its upgraded camera system. The device will feature a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. iQOO states this sensor configuration allows for 79% more light capture than the previous iQOO 15 model.
The camera setup is further complemented by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The phone also incorporates CIPA 5.5-rated professional-grade image stabilization.
Officially, the iQOO 16 will debut with a 2K 165Hz Samsung "Everest" display utilizing Samsung's M16 emissive material. This screen boasts a manual peak brightness of 1100 nits, a global peak brightness of 2800 nits, and a local peak brightness of 10000 nits. It also supports 1.24x P3 color gamut coverage and features per-screen color calibration.
The iQOO 16 is scheduled for release on September 29 and is expected to be among the first devices powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The phone will be available in three distinct colorways, each inspired by science fiction themes.
