Smartphone manufacturer iQOO is slated to release its latest flagship device, the iQOO 16, within September. Leaked information indicates the phone will pack "Pro Max" level specifications, even if it doesn't carry that specific branding.
The iQOO 16 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, specifically the "Extreme" version (SM8975). It is also reported to feature a Samsung 2K+ 165Hz M16 custom display. The device will reportedly include iQOO's proprietary Q4 gaming chip and an advanced camera system.
The camera setup is detailed as a 50MP main sensor with a large 1/1.3" aperture (F1.68), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Battery capacity is rumored to be a substantial 8400mAh.
The launch, expected this month, positions the iQOO 16 as one of the first devices to utilize the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform. A new iQOO Pad Ultra tablet is also anticipated to be unveiled concurrently.
