iQOO 16 Smartphone Screen Specifications Revealed: M16 Emission Material and 10000 Nits Peak Brightness
iQOO has announced its new iQOO 16 smartphone, featuring a display with the new M16 emission material and a local peak brightness of 10,000 nits.

Chinese technology firm iQOO has revealed specifications for its upcoming iQOO 16 smartphone, highlighting advancements in display technology. The device's screen will feature the new M16 emission material, marking its debut on an Android device, and is capable of achieving a local peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits.
The 2K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate display, a collaboration with Samsung Display, covers 1.24 times the P3 color gamut. Each screen undergoes individual color calibration, with reported improvements in color and brightness uniformity. The display also incorporates iQOO's proprietary color brightness compensation algorithm and high-accuracy color calibration.
Further enhancing the user experience, the iQOO 16 display is equipped with a new generation touch control chip. This chip supports an instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 5000Hz and a multi-finger touch sampling rate of up to 500Hz. Coupled with iQOO's exclusive Q-flex control technology, the company claims reduced latency for gaming.
During a technical briefing, iQOO detailed the screen's brightness capabilities, including a manual peak brightness of 1100 nits, a global peak brightness of 2800 nits, and the aforementioned 10,000 nits local peak brightness. The display also features full DC dimming and high-frequency PWM dimming up to 3300Hz, designed to minimize eye strain.
