Chinese smartphone maker iQOO has revealed specifications for the display of its upcoming Neo11 Supreme Edition. The device is set to feature a 6.83-inch 2K resolution screen that incorporates a newly developed domestic F2 emissive material.
According to iQOO, this marks the global debut of this material in a smartphone screen. The company states that the F2 material significantly enhances luminous efficiency, offering greater detail and sharper text compared to the commonly used 1.5K displays in the industry.
Furthermore, iQOO claims that the improved efficiency of the F2 material results in lower power consumption for the screen, potentially even less than some 1.5K panels currently available. They are marketing this as a "domestic top-tier 2K screen" and the phone is also equipped with a 9100mAh battery.
The integration of this material, alongside an "atomic layer deposition process," is presented as a significant step in China's drive for independent development of display technologies. This initiative aims to reduce reliance on foreign components and bolster the domestic tech sector.
