Chinese technology firm iQOO is set to launch its iQOO Pad Ultra tablet on September 29. Recent leaks indicate that the company is also planning to introduce another compact tablet focused on performance.
The upcoming smaller tablet is expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with a Q3 gaming chip. It will share a similar screen size to the soon-to-be-released Pad Ultra but will be positioned differently in terms of performance tiers and pricing, mirroring the company's strategy of offering 'large cup' and 'extra large cup' versions in its smartphone lineups.
The precise release schedule and pricing details for this new compact tablet have not yet been disclosed. The company appears to be differentiating its product offerings to cater to various user segments and performance expectations.
For context, the iQOO Pad Ultra will boast a 5.74mm full metal body, weighing just 298 grams for its 8.8-inch display. It includes an active cooling system and is powered by a sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship processor. The tablet also features high touch sampling rates of up to 500Hz and an instant touch sampling rate of 5000Hz, along with an upgraded gyroscope and dual linear motors.
