Irish Government Offers Grants for Small Businesses
The Irish government has introduced various grant programs to support the growth and development of small businesses across multiple sectors. These initiatives aim to provide financial assistance for research, innovation, sustainability, expansion, and job creation.

The Irish government is providing a range of grants to support small businesses, covering sectors such as research and innovation, sustainability, expansion, and employment. These financial supports are designed to be a key resource for business growth.
Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) across Ireland offer several grants. The Priming Grant is available for companies with up to 10 employees, operating for less than 18 months, and demonstrating potential for international growth. This grant can fund new equipment or direct business costs, up to 50% of the investment, with a maximum of €80,000 (or €150,000 in certain cases).
For businesses in their growth phase, the Business Expansion Grant assists companies with up to 10 employees. Similar to the Priming Grant, it covers up to 50% of the investment, potentially reaching €150,000 in exceptional circumstances. Funds can be allocated to capital items, salary costs, and consultancy or marketing expenses. The Feasibility (Innovation) Grant supports small businesses in researching market demand and the viability of products or services, covering 50% to 60% of investment costs up to €15,000.
The Grow Digital Voucher, part of the Digital for Business initiative, offers up to €2,500 in two tranches. Businesses must first undergo a digital audit. The grant covers 50% of the total cost for implementing digitalization plans and training, available to businesses with up to 50 employees that have traded for at least six months.
Enterprise Ireland also provides support for scaling companies. The Strategic Consultancy Assignment Grant can offer up to €35,000 to help businesses develop and implement strategic initiatives by engaging external consultants.
