iRobot has unveiled its new flagship robot vacuum and mop, the Roomba Max 875 Combo, now available for $1,199. The company showcased the new model at the IFA trade show in Berlin, marking its first major technology exhibition in years.
The key vacuuming improvement is iRobot's new SealForce system, which is designed to enhance cleaning performance by sealing the robot to the carpet. Alongside the flagship model, iRobot also introduced the Roomba Plus 678 Combo for $899.
Both the Roomba Max 875 Combo and the Roomba Plus 678 Combo are available for purchase on iRobot's website. The company is now owned by Picea Robotics, a contract manufacturer that acquired the previously struggling American robotics firm out of bankruptcy in January.
The IFA trade show is one of the world's largest consumer electronics and home appliance events. iRobot's participation signifies its push to re-establish market leadership under new ownership.
