Irving Marathon Running Series Kicks Off Oct. 3 With Oktoberfest Half Marathon

IRVING, Texas – September 25, 2026 – The Irving Marathon Running Series will launch its 2026-27 season on October 3 with the Irving Oktoberfest Half Marathon. The series offers six running events designed to provide participants with a major race experience and convenient access within the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The season opener, the Oktoberfest Half Marathon, includes half marathon, 10K, and 5K race options. The event will feature traditional post-race bratwurst and beer. All races in the series utilize fast, flat, and USATF-certified courses.
Key dates for the 2026-27 schedule include the Irving Turkey Trot in November, the Irving Frost Marathon in December (a Boston Marathon qualifier), the Love on the Run Half Marathon in February 2027, the series' flagship 15th Annual Irving Marathon in March 2027 (also a Boston Marathon qualifier), and the Fiesta de Mayo Half Marathon in May 2027.
Events are hosted at the Toyota Music Factory, offering proximity to accommodations and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Organizers aim to provide a high-quality participant experience, including complimentary race photos and quality race swag. The series also supports the local Irving Schools Foundation.
