Isar Aerospace Becomes First European Commercial Firm to Reach Orbit

German space technology firm Isar Aerospace has successfully launched a commercial rocket into low Earth orbit, achieving a key milestone for the company and the European space industry. The launch, which took place on Saturday from a spaceport in Norway, saw the company's two-stage Spectrum rocket reach its target orbit on its second launch attempt.

Founded in 2018 by three university students, Isar Aerospace is now the first purely commercial European entity to achieve orbit.
