Island Pacific opens 22nd grocery store in Los Angeles

Island Pacific Seafood Market has opened a new grocery store at 4044 N. Eagle Rock Boulevard in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The location, which is the 22nd store for the chain, held a soft opening on October 30 ahead of a scheduled grand opening on November 5, 2026.

The store focuses on Filipino-American grocery items, including fresh seafood, meats, and regional specialty goods. Chief Executive Officer Maite Defensor stated that the expansion is intended to improve access to groceries in the community while providing a space for neighbors to engage with Filipino culture.

This opening follows Filipino American History Month and aligns with the company’s ongoing marketing initiative, "IPASA NATIN," which centers on the cultural tradition of sharing food and heritage across generations. Marketing Director Giselle Tongi-Walters noted that the store aims to provide familiar, culturally relevant products to local families.

Island Pacific currently operates multiple locations throughout California and Nevada. The Eagle Rock Boulevard site represents the company's latest effort to grow its footprint in urban neighborhoods with significant Filipino-American populations.
