Israeli AI Security Startup Pluto Launches With $42 Million
Israeli AI security startup Pluto has publicly launched, securing approximately $42 million in funding. The company provides solutions for enterprises to monitor employee use of AI tools and agents, addressing new security risks.

Pluto Security, an enterprise security startup with staff in both the US and Israel, has officially launched its operations after raising approximately $42 million in funding. The company was founded by Shahar Bahat and Shaked Itsacson.
The startup focuses on helping businesses monitor their employees' use of AI tools and agents, as the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence is creating new security vulnerabilities for organizations. Pluto's platform aims to provide visibility and control over these emerging risks.
The total funding includes an $8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a $34 million Series A round led by Jump Capital. Pluto Security began selling its services in April and has since acquired over 30 enterprise customers, including notable companies like Oscar Health and Workato.
According to CEO Shahar Bahat, approximately 60% of the risks Pluto detects across its customer base originate from AI applications built by non-developers. Finance teams are identified as the primary source of these risks, followed by marketing and legal departments. Pluto aims to equip these teams with the necessary tools to manage the evolving threat landscape presented by AI.
