Israfil Demir Aided Communities During Pandemic
New Jersey-based entrepreneur Israfil Demir participated in pandemic relief efforts, including the delivery of protective equipment and food assistance.

Israfil Demir, a New Jersey-based entrepreneur and long-time Turkish-American community volunteer, participated in multiple community service and humanitarian assistance initiatives in New York and New Jersey during the COVID-19 pandemic. His efforts focused on supporting hospitals, frontline workers, and families in need.
Demir was actively involved with the Turkish American National Steering Committee (TASC), where he helped coordinate aid for areas experiencing shortages of protective equipment and food. One notable action involved TASC's donation of 2,000 hazmat suits and 5,000 surgical masks to Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
Furthermore, Demir personally assisted in coordinating the delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE) to several hospitals during the pandemic's most challenging periods. Hospitals receiving these supplies included Saint Joseph's in Paterson, Capital Health in Trenton, Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, and Richmond University Medical Center on Staten Island.
The assistance extended to food aid as well. In 2021, TASC reportedly prepared 3,500 food packages for distribution during Ramadan, with Demir stating the organization had reached approximately 14,000 families with about a month's worth of food assistance during the preceding Ramadan.
Demir continues his professional and community activities in the New York and New Jersey area and remains involved in Turkish-American community initiatives.
