IT group Materna reports over 20 percent revenue growth
IT service provider Materna Group announced significant growth, with revenue increasing by 21.9 percent to 433 million euros in 2021. The company is also expanding its management team and reorganizing responsibilities.
IT service provider Materna Group has reported a substantial increase in revenue for the fiscal year 2021. The group's revenue grew organically by 21.9 percent to 433 million euros, up from 355.1 million euros in 2020. This growth was accompanied by improved profitability.
In response to this strong development, Materna is restructuring its leadership and management divisions. As of April 1, 2022, the previous executive board has been expanded with two new members. Michael Hagedorn will head the new Public Sector & Security division, and Uwe Scariot will oversee the Enterprise Service Management & Internationalization division.
The company's "Mission 2025" strategy, launched last year, is showing tangible results. The strategy aims to increase Materna Group's revenue to over 700 million euros and its global workforce to over 5,000 employees by 2025. The company's headcount grew by approximately 500 employees in 2021, bringing the total to around 3,200 worldwide.
Key growth drivers in 2021 included the Public Sector business, which saw a 35 percent revenue increase, and the SAP business, which grew by 24 percent through its subsidiary cbs Corporate Business Solutions. Strategic acquisitions, such as those of TraffGo Road GmbH, Virtual Solution AG, and Trebing & Himstedt Prozeßautomation GmbH & Co. KG, have also supported organic growth and expanded Materna's service offerings.
