Chinese tech news outlet IT Home reports that Alibaba's Qwen3.8-Flash AI model will continue its free access period on the Qoder platform. The promotion, originally slated to conclude on September 30, 2026, at 23:59:59, has been extended and will remain free starting October 1, 2026, with no set end date.
The initiative, which began on September 18, 2026, is open to both new and existing individual users of Qoder. During the promotional period, the Qwen3.8-Flash model's billing coefficient has been reduced to 0.0×, meaning its usage does not consume Credits. This benefit is automatically applied and requires no user action.
Credits are the billing units used on the Qoder platform for model invocation. According to IT Home, even free accounts and those with a zero Credits balance are eligible. Daily allowances of 100 general-purpose Credits are not deducted when using this specific model.
The offer applies to a range of Qoder products, including the Qoder IDE, JetBrains plugin, CLI tool, and Qoder mobile and web applications. Alibaba's Qwen3.8-Flash is described as a multimodal model balancing response speed and cost, supporting code generation, long document processing, and image understanding, along with tool invocation capabilities.
