According to exclusive information obtained by Sina Technology and reported by IT Home, Ant Group's AI product, Lingguang, has recently initiated a small-scale test of its new version. This updated version is reportedly positioned to compete with Meta Platforms' Muse.

Meta unveiled its personal intelligent agent, Muse, in September. Muse is designed to integrate into users' daily lives and continuously follow up on assigned matters. Sources close to the Lingguang project indicate that development in this direction began approximately six months ago, undergoing multiple iterations, with a full public release planned for this month.

The core of Lingguang's upgrade is its transformation from a conversational AI assistant capable of generating applications to an AI-native personal intelligent agent with long-term memory and the capacity to proactively drive tasks. The new Lingguang version can also perform functions such as sending messages via DingTalk or controlling smart home devices by invoking Skills and MCP.

Internal testing use cases for Lingguang 2.0 are focused on scenarios that are long-term, involve numerous variables, and are difficult for individuals to consistently manage. Examples include assisting office workers in tracking market fluctuations, helping parents manage DingTalk check-ins, or re-routing travel plans due to flight delays or restrictions at attractions.
