IT Home: Chery's iCAR V25 Extended-Range SUV Debuts
Chery's new V25 model under the iCAR brand, featuring a 1.5T range extender, has been officially unveiled. The vehicle is slated for market launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
Chinese technology outlet IT Home reports that Chery's iCAR brand has unveiled its new V25 SUV model. The vehicle made its official debut in Chengdu and is scheduled for market release in the fourth quarter of the year. The V25 is the third model in the iCAR V series and features a distinctive "boxy" design.
The vehicle measures 4636mm in length (including the external spare tire/storage box), 1920mm in width, and 1855mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm. It boasts a minimum ground clearance of 197mm and offers approach and departure angles suitable for light off-roading.
Under the hood, the V25 utilizes an extended-range electric powertrain. The range-extender is Chery's self-developed 1.5T SQRH4J15 turbocharged engine, producing 115kW. It is paired with a 33.67kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, providing two WLTC pure electric range options: 145km and 150km. Fuel consumption with a depleted battery is reported to be around 6.9-7.15L/100km.
The vehicle is equipped with the "Super Falcon 700+" intelligent driving system, powered by a Horizon Robotics Journey 6P chip with 560 TOPS of computing power. Optional lidar is available, and the system supports advanced driver-assistance features like highway pilot, urban NOA (Navigation on Autopilot), and automatic parking.
