Recent heavy rainfall and storms have caused widespread flooding, landslides, and dam breaches in various parts of China, including Guangxi, Hubei, and Gansu provinces. These events have led to significant loss of life and considerable economic damage.
Official reports from Nanning indicate that the breach of the Liulan Reservoir has resulted in at least 26 confirmed deaths and seven individuals still missing. Across the entire Guangxi region, a total of 39 deaths and nine disappearances have been attributed to the recent weather disasters.
Authorities are working to identify the deceased and continue search and rescue operations for those reported missing.
