IT Home Launches fnOS Native Music Application

IT Home has launched its native music application, "Feiniu Music" (fnOS), completing its official media service offerings. This addition follows the existing photo and video applications, forming a "media trio" available on Apple, HarmonyOS, and Android platforms.

The Feiniu Music application aims to streamline music management for users of Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. Previously, users often relied on third-party services or open-source solutions. This new application provides a native solution for managing, playing, and sharing personal music libraries.

Key features include centralized management of music resources from various locations such as local NAS storage, cloud drives, and remote devices. The app supports automatic metadata scraping for songs and lyrics, along with intelligent categorization by album and artist. Users can also manage cached playback, download songs, and adjust audio quality settings.

Feiniu Music offers comprehensive support for high-resolution audio formats, including DSD and DTS, as well as CUE file recognition. It provides flexible playback options with server-side transcoding. User management can be done through independent music accounts or by linking to existing NAS accounts, facilitating easy and secure sharing with family and friends.
