IT Home has unveiled the new multi-functional J36 AI button phone in China. The device combines the simplicity of traditional button phones with AI capabilities and smart app support.
Chinese tech entity IT Home has released the new "multi-functional" J36 AI button phone, aiming to integrate the straightforwardness of traditional button phones with advanced smart features.
The device's core feature is its AI integration, allowing users to perform tasks via voice commands. The system reportedly can open Bluetooth, make calls, and generate text based on a single command. The phone is equipped with a 2.8-inch screen, an MTK8766V processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It runs on Android 13 and is powered by a 2600mAh battery.
The J36 AI supports popular applications like WeChat and Alipay, while also offering parental controls for monitoring and restricting app usage and screen time. The phone includes a built-in FM radio and an infrared remote control function for operating home electronics. Users can opt for a version with or without a camera.
The camera-equipped variant features a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The camera-less model omits the rear camera module. The new J36 AI button phone is now available in China, priced at 659 yuan (approximately $90 USD). This release indicates a trend towards incorporating smarter functionalities into more accessible and simpler mobile devices.
