IT Home Launches Modular Humanoid Robot Mantis Standard "Xiaobai"
IT Home has introduced the Mantis Standard "Xiaobai", a modular humanoid robot designed as a versatile "embodied intelligence" platform. The robot is priced starting from 9,800 yuan.
Chinese technology company IT Home has unveiled the Mantis Standard "Xiaobai," a new modular humanoid robot developed by Blue Bug Body, a firm commercializing technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University. The robot is available starting at 9,800 yuan (approximately $1,340 USD).
The Mantis Standard "Xiaobai" is positioned as more than just a humanoid robot; it serves as an "embodied intelligence" platform capable of transforming into various forms. The robot features standardized, modular components for its chassis, arms, waist, and head. These modules connect mechanically and electrically via quick-release interfaces, allowing for easy assembly and reconfiguration.
Key technical specifications include 22 degrees of freedom for the entire body, a single-arm payload capacity of 7 kg, and an arm reach of 663 mm. The remote operation delay is under 10 ms. The waist section offers a height adjustment range of 550 mm, while the chassis provides three degrees of freedom for omnidirectional movement at a forward speed of 3 m/s. The lifting speed is 200 mm/s. The robot has a battery life of 3 hours and stands 1.4 meters tall.
According to the company, the Mantis Standard "Xiaobai" integrates with mainstream "embodied intelligence" development ecosystems, enabling out-of-the-box usability. Blue Bug Body also provides development and training services for embodied intelligence, including supporting tools, tutorials, and technical project assistance.
