Chinese technology outlet IT Home reports that Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare (联影医疗) and Tianjin University have jointly released "uMR Godview" (uMR 神观), described as the world's first full-stack magnetic resonance-based brain-computer interface (BCI) solution.

The solution is built upon United Imaging's uMR series of devices and aims to advance BCI technology research and clinical translation. It encompasses a complete technical system for BCI, including high spatio-temporal resolution magnetic resonance imaging, optimized hardware, and tools for magnetic resonance-guided neural modulation.

"uMR Godview" is designed to cover the entire translation chain of BCI, from basic research to clinical application, utilizing United Imaging's 3.0T, 5.0T, and 9.4T MRI scanners. The stated goal is to enable more precise understanding and control of brain functions and neural plasticity.

Additionally, an innovation alliance for magnetic resonance BCI was officially established, co-initiated by Tianjin University and United Imaging Healthcare. This alliance brings together universities, research institutions, and medical centers to foster technological innovation and industrial collaboration in the field.
