Chinese outlet IT Home reports that the new Shangjie Z9 electric SUV is slated for a launch in April-May next year, designated as a 2027 model year vehicle.
The upcoming Shangjie Z9 electric SUV has completed its application process and is expected to launch in April-May of next year, according to Chinese tech outlet IT Home. The vehicle is reportedly designated as a 2027 model year, suggesting it will feature advanced specifications.
The Shangjie Z9 is classified as a sporty passenger vehicle with dimensions of 5139x2005x1776mm and a wheelbase of 3086mm. It is designed to accommodate five occupants, with an optional six-seat configuration available for the dual-motor version.
According to leaked information, the Shangjie Z9's size places it above the 6-7 series models but below the 8-9 series. Its sporty styling and 5-6 seat layout suggest it could be positioned as a performance-oriented variant within the 8-series.
The new SUV will be available in two powertrain options. The single-motor variant will deliver a maximum power of 280 kW and a top speed of 200 km/h. The dual-motor version will offer a combined system power of 455 kW and a top speed of 210 km/h. Both versions will utilize lithium-ion batteries.
