Chinese technology outlet IT Home has released the NK1 Ultra, a portable USB-C DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) and amplifier dongle. The product is positioned for the entry-level HiFi market and is being sold for an introductory price of 119 yuan.
The device weighs just 9.2 grams and features a CNC-machined aluminum alloy body with a transparent window to view the internal chips. The casing has a fine sandblasted finish for a pleasant tactile feel.
Internally, the NK1 Ultra uses a CX31993 DAC chip paired with an SGM8262 operational amplifier and an LM dual low-noise power supply. It delivers an output power of 122mW into a 32-ohm load, nearly double that of its predecessor, enabling it to drive most in-ear monitors effectively. The dongle is plug-and-play and supports connection to smartphones, computers, and tablets. A USB-C to USB-A adapter is included in the package for compatibility with desktop and laptop computers.
