Chinese technology company IT Home has begun rolling out a substantial Over-The-Air (OTA) software update for its Li Auto series vehicles. The update aims to enhance the driving experience with new functionalities and optimizations, focusing on improving both comfort and safety.

A key feature of this update is the introduction of the WEWA 2.0 system, designed to improve the vehicle's decision-making capabilities in complex traffic situations. This includes optimizations for traffic efficiency, driving comfort, and safety. The system is engineered to make lane changes smoother, anticipate traffic conditions more effectively, and respond faster to unexpected events, such as sudden maneuvers by other vehicles.

The update also brings a new City Roam Cruise function for urban environments. This feature allows the vehicle to navigate autonomously through cities without active navigation, recognizing traffic lights and performing lane changes. Additionally, a Park Roam Cruise function for industrial areas is introduced, supporting parking maneuvers and advanced parking assistance. The Navigation Cognitive Assistance (NCA) system has also been upgraded to allow for the addition of waypoints like parking spots or elevator entrances, and enables direct navigation to charging stations.

Further improvements include enhanced parking features, automatic restoration and activation of navigation after the vehicle wakes up, and expanded activation options for the NCA system in non-standard road conditions. The 3D rendering interface has been upgraded, particularly for right turns, and navigation search history and waypoint display have been optimized. The update is available for all Li Auto series models, with rollout schedules detailed via the vehicle's system or mobile application.
