Chinese tech outlet IT Home has introduced two new gaming peripherals: the VK87 MAX V2 THOR mechanical keyboard and the VK M5 Max THOR gaming mouse, both featuring a "Thor" theme. These products are now available for purchase through the JD.com e-commerce platform.
The VK87 MAX V2 THOR mechanical keyboard features 87 keys and incorporates several lighting elements, including an RGB LOGO light and a full-length ARGB light strip. It utilizes JSA profile keycaps and supports hot-swappable switches for all keys, allowing for customization. The keyboard also includes a multimedia volume knob and a TFT color LCD screen. Under the hood, it is powered by the Zhulong 2 control chip and offers three connectivity options: wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. The device boasts a dual 8K polling rate, with a reported wired latency of less than 0.1 milliseconds.
Mechanically, the keyboard is equipped with Huannuo Naiyue linear switches, rated for a minimum lifespan of 50 million keystrokes. It houses a 12000mAh battery that integrates VALKYRIE's "Silent Core" technology. According to the company, the battery can provide up to 12000 hours of usage via Bluetooth in "Silent Core" mode, and approximately 70 hours when using the 2.4GHz connection with an 8K polling rate and full lighting enabled.
The VK M5 Max THOR gaming mouse features a classic right-handed ergonomic design and weighs approximately 56 grams. It is equipped with a custom PAW 3955 THOR sensor that supports glass tracking and allows for independent X/Y axis adjustment, with a tunable lift-off distance between 0.7-1.7mm. Similar to the keyboard, the mouse supports a dual 8K polling rate and includes an 8K-compatible receiver that can display mouse status information or custom animations. It utilizes TTC Gold Wheel encoders and SPDT micro-switches with a lifespan of 80 million clicks. The internal 300mAh battery is advertised to provide up to 175 hours of use.
