IT Home: Shangjie Z7 Car Family to Add New Outdoor Performance Version
Shangjie's Z7 series of cars, which began deliveries in late May, will soon add a new version designed to enhance outdoor performance. The company stated the new variant will expand the vehicle's use cases.
IT Home reports that Shangjie's Z7 car series, which commenced deliveries at the end of May, is set to receive a new variant. Yang Siyao, head of Shangjie's marketing department, disclosed the future plans for the Z7 family during the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show.
Deliveries for the Z7 series surpassed 10,000 units in June and reached over 20,000 cumulative units by July. As of August 17-18, more than 4,500 units had been delivered for the month. Yang indicated that the new version is specifically designed to improve outdoor performance and broaden the vehicle's applicability, a feature integrated into the product's initial development.
Currently, the Shangjie Z7 lineup includes coupe and shooting brake body styles. Yang Siyao noted that over 40% of Z7's customer base is under 35 years old, with a significant proportion of female consumers, a demographic shift compared to their typically more mature customer profile.
Additionally, the Hongmeng Zhixing brand is expected to introduce a new Z7 Allroad model later this year. Reports suggest this upcoming model will focus on outdoor capabilities, aligning with the company's strategy to expand the Z7 family's functionality and market reach.
