Tesla has officially removed China from the list of supported regions for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system on its official website. The change, effective August 23, 2026, comes after China was previously included in the supported territories. The company has not provided specific reasons for this decision, raising questions about Tesla's future strategy in the Chinese market.

In related news, AI service provider DeepSeek announced an adjustment to its API pricing structure. Starting August 23, 2026, weekend usage will no longer differentiate between peak and off-peak hours. Instead, all API calls made on Saturdays and Sundays will be charged at a single, lower off-peak rate. This move aims to simplify billing for developers and offer more predictable costs.

The China Railway Chengdu Bureau has also addressed an incident involving a passenger who purchased a seat but left it occupied by snacks. The railway authority stated that passengers who do not have their tickets inspected and board the train are considered to have forfeited their right to the seat. In this specific case, only two out of three ticket holders boarded, leading to a dispute over the unoccupied seat.
