IT Home Unveils B650 Expansion Card PB65MX4 with Modular Capabilities
IT Home has introduced the PB65MX4 expansion card for the AMD B650 chipset. The card features a modular design, enabling users to customize I/O ports based on their specific needs.
Chinese technology outlet IT Home has announced the PB65MX4, a new expansion card designed for motherboards utilizing the AMD B650 chipset. A key feature of the PB65MX4 is its modular construction, which allows users to configure the available input/output (I/O) connections to suit their requirements.
The front of the PB65MX4 card provides two M.2 slots. These slots support various M.2 SSD sizes (2230 through 2280) and operate via a PCIe Gen3 x2 interface. Beyond direct SSD installation, these slots are compatible with a range of functional modules, including M.2 adapters for 10GbE RJ-45 or SFP+ network ports, multi-port SATA modules, and OCuLink connections, allowing for mixed configurations.
For power, the PB65MX4 requires a 6-pin connector. The reverse side of the card features two additional M.2 slots, specifically sized for 22110 or 2280 drives, which utilize the faster PCIe Gen4 x4 interface. The card also includes a USB-C port offering 20Gbps data transfer speeds, along with an internal header for a 10Gbps USB-C port.
The base PB65MX4 expansion card is priced at 499 yuan. Separate M.2 network adapter modules will be available for 299 yuan, or 229 yuan when purchased with the main card. Sales are scheduled to commence after the National Day holiday period in China.
